NEW YEAR'S EVE AT RYLES... was a raging good time. The show sold out, people were up and dancing, and we
were joined by special guests Mike Tucker on sax, James Jones on drums, and Will Pirone on harmonica. All in all, it
was an incredible night. Thanks so much to everyone who joined us and ushered in 2008 in funkin' style!
Shibuya Gumbo gets airplay with XM Radio!
Michelle Sammartino at XM Radio's Beyond Jazz channel is featuring the "Boston Horns - Live from Tokyo" CD during
their Live @ BJ's "From Texas to Tokyo" presentation this week! Tune in Wednesday night at 9 PM Eastern/ 6 PM
Pacific and Sunday at 8 PM Eastern/5 PM Pacific. Michelle says, "Spend an hour in the world's only imaginary modern
jazz club, BJ's, for rare live performances by the biggest stars of Modern Jazz. You'll hear music you can't hear
anywhere but on XM, and this week, we'll take you on a trip around the world beginning in Houston where we're hear a
group that definitely needs some attention, Drop Trio plays a great set at the club Cezanne. Then it's on to Tokyo to
hear The Boston Horns at the Club Quattro in the Shibuya section of Tokyo, followed by two historic performances
featuring The Pat Metheny Group during their "We Live Here" tour of Japan in 1995, followed by Weather Report, live
Japan in 1973 featuring the original lineup of Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter and Miroslav Vitous."
